SUBCOMISSIONS

ICTF Subcommissions

The ICTF has several Subcommissions that collaborate on the organization of workshops, conference symposia, and the development of taxonomic resources for their user communities. There are also affiliated Commissions that share a common vision for the development of cooperative fungal taxonomy, although they are not formally under the ICTF umbrella.

  • Boletales Working Group

WORKING GROUPS

ICTF Working Groups

ICTF members form working groups of members and outside expertise around topics for tackling complex taxonomic issues. Current ICTF working group topics include:

  • General Purpose Classification
  • Protected Families and Genera
  • Typification of Older Names
  • Naming of Environmental Sequences
  • Revising Rules for Living Cultures
  • Data Standards for Genomes

NCF/ICTF Nomenclatural Working Groups

During the transition to one fungus : one name, a number of ICTF/NCF (Nomenclature Committee for Fungi) Working Groups prepared lists for particular taxonomic groups. The task of these taxon-specific Working Groups has been completed. A single Working Group is ongoing, which has a remit to prepare lists of names proposed for protection under Art. F.2.1 of the Code, across all groups of fungi.
